We have been involved in the Battery Service program for approximately eight years. It has added substantial revenue to our service provider network, in excess of $11.8M, and added revenue to our Club. It has also provided a valuable service to members by getting them “on the go, rather than a tow”. It has also helped member’s identify the problem if not a battery (ie; alternator, short, etc) and provide the member with information regarding the remaining life of the battery if the vehicle only needed a jump start.
The Battery Service has been very influential in Member Retention, as well. Members who have used the Battery Service have 93% renewal rate, as compared to Members who only used ERS and not Battery Service specifically.
Club Assist has been most beneficial in providing information and training regarding battery and electrical systems. Implementation of Route Service has significantly improved the distribution process, making Club Assist's commitment a full-circle of service.
Also, by enabling the contractor to utilize light service vehicles instead of tow trucks, Battery Service has reduced the costs of operation for service providers, making them even more profitable.
