$5000 Boost From Battery Round Up

The smiles say it all... $5000 is going to the Royal Children's Hospital, thanks to all the RACV members who participated in RACV's Great Battery Round Up in October.  Members brought in 4157 old automotive batteries that had been sitting around in garages and sheds.  The batteries were collected from 20 participating RACV Service Centres and Shell autoserv sites, and taken to Australian Refined Alloys for recycling.  And for every battery handed in for recycling, RACV Batteries has made a donation to the hospital.

Our picture shows RACV's motoring products manager Trish Oliver with Jon Ward from Ecorecycle Victoria and RCH patient Andrew with his father.  "Our thanks go to all the RACV members who participated", Trish says.
